     THICKNESS

The Carryboy Cool box wall is 28 mm. thick
but in the case of the refrigerated box that is
increased by almost 300% to 75 mm. and in
the case of the freezer box an additional 25 mm.
is added to make the walls 100 mm. thick.

These panels provide strength of construction
and ensure thermal efficiency to keep the load
at the required temperature.

     MATERIALS.

The 2 sides of the polyurethane foam insulation
are sandwiched between 2 layers of fibre
reinforced plastic (FRP). This provides a smooth
easy to clean surface, impervious to dirt or any
liqued spills.

making them safe for the transportation of food.

     FLOOR CONSTRUCTION

In both the refrigerated and freezer type
cold boxes the floor is 100 mm. thick but
the construction is designed to withstand
the rigors of loading stock on pallets and
goods being moved about on the floor.

The bottom layer of the floor is FRP sheet
to protect the layer of PU foam from damage
from below and the top of the foam is protected
by a double layer of marine ply and aluminium
checker plate, all sandwiched and glued together
using the same top quality adhesives as used on
the side and roof panels.

     BOX CONSTRUCTION

All panel to panel joints are completed using aluminium extrusions to provide rigidity and strength and top
quality PU adhesives and antifungal sealants formulated to withstand the temperature variations experienced.
